Social Entrepreneurship Forum in Armenia

The Social Entrepreneurship Forum was co-organized by EcoHub foundation and the Association of Social Enterprises in Armenia (ASEA), and took place on 26 April, 2019. The unique value of this event was in bringing together all the different actors in the spectrum of social entrepreneurship. The goals of the Forum were:

• To acknowledge the role of social enterprises in community development;
• To exchange experiences;
• To bring up the obstacles for further development of social enterprises in Armenia and to propose solutions;
• To discuss the perspective for the development of the social enterprises based outside the capital city;
• To discuss the draft Concept Paper on the development of social entrepreneurship.

The Forum hostel panel discussions and a marketplace of social enterprises. The panel discussions covered the following 3 wide themes:

1. The supporting ecosystem of social enterprises
2. The legal framework for social enterprises, including the Concept Paper on the development of social entrepreneurship
3. Social entrepreneurship in the systems of formal and non-formal education
