The leaders of this community initiative where unhappy about the way condominium associations functioned in Gyumri. Most of the time, the management of these associations did not fulfill their duty of taking care of the commonly-owned spaces of the buildings. On the other hand, the residents of the condominiums did not demand that the management bodies carry out their responsibilities.
So the team decided to raise awareness of their own neighbors about the responsibilities of the condominium associations. They prepared info-materials and went door-to-door speaking with their neighbors on this topics. They also organized renovation and design activities in their condominium and the common courtyard.

There are numerous metal mines in Syunik region and they have resulted in millions of tones of toxic waste generated in the tailing damps. Artsvanik is believed to be one of the largest tailing damps in the world. It resembles a beautiful turquoise lake from afar, while in reality it is full of toxic substances which could kill any life. "The Real Lake" is a short film which tells the story of the people who live next to this tailing damp. The authors of the film aimed at raising awareness of other young people about the huge damage that this dump causes to people's lives and the environment.

In the age of Climate Crisis bees are recognized as the most important species on our planet! Without bees most of the vegetation of the Earth would not be able to exist.
This community initiative was started by a young beekeeper from Uyts village near Sisian. He wanted to learn more about the role of bees in the ecosystem and about how to take care of the bees. He also wanted to bring together other young beekeepers in his area to share knowledge, to support each other and to invest in the social wellbeing of their community in addition to their private profit.
Within just a few years the initiative grew into Be Honey social enterprise. They produce their own honey, they created an apitherapy booth, and they united the beekeepers in their region for organizing the sales of honey collectively. A part of the profits of the social enterprise is channeled to the empowerment of the beekeepers' communities Uyts and Sisian.

Shaghap village is situated next to the famous Khosrov Reserve. A wide variety of herbs grow there. The founder of Shaghap Tea creates delicious herbal mixes using the recipes of her grandmother. She recruited her fellow villagers in the processes of collection of herbs and their packaging. Everyone was trained in advance in order to learn how to harvest without damaging the plants and the biodiversity of the area. Shaghap Tea's production is certified organic. It is sold in Armenia and is exported, too. Shaghap Tea is a social enterprise which invests part of its income into the community, e.g. the first year's income was used to fund street lighting in the village.
